“Feed My Lambs and Sheep” is one of the largest Christian-based, community feeding programs in the Eastern Cape Province of South Africa. It is an initiative of Christ Ever Reigns Chapel International that provides a substantive quantity of groceries for over 7000 families in December each year.

This initiative was inspired by the powerful message of John 21:15. In this passage of scripture, Jesus demonstrates his love and compassion by asking Simon Peter to feed His sheep. Drawing from this profound expression of God’s love, Christ Ever Reigns Chapel International is committed to providing for as many families as we are able to reach, to ensure that the people in the communities around us do not go hungry during the festive period.

In the world we live in today, where hunger persists, the need for such community-based initiatives grows profoundly important. Feed My Lambs and Sheep not only rises up to the challenge of providing physical nourishment for thousands of families in need, but it also provides a platform upon which people can experience first-hand, the love and compassion of God through his church on earth.

The initiative began in 2021 after the COVID pandemic exposed the devastating struggles of so many people in communities around us. The first year, Feed My Lambs and Sheep provided food hampers to over 3000 families. In 2022, God extended the reach of Christ Ever Reigns Chapel International and over 7000 families were provided with food hampers in East London, Mdantsane, Balasi Valley, Balasi Location, Emadramini, King Williams Town, Bisho, Breidbach, Berlin, Alice and Port Elizabeth, as well as Lagos State, Nigeria.
Christ Ever Reigns Chapel, through Feed My Lambs and Sheep, hopes to continue to spread the genuine love and care of Christ to more regions in South Africa and maybe one day, extend God’s provision to other countries in Africa. That, will be a dream come true for us as a ministry that cares.
